I love the look of antiqued bronze. When combined with turquoise colored beads, a bit of sparkle and pearl it gives this piece a unique combination of urban, organic and timeless. To compliment this combination further, I used a sueded cord for the necklace.
This piece is astonishingly simple to make. Blue Moon Beads provides a faux suede cord, already finished with a lobster clasp and 'cheater chain' to manipulate the 16" length as desired. I liked the shorter length of the cord because I wanted the focal point to be longer than usual to make up the difference.
I simply hung the trio of drops from an oval jump ring at the bottom of the enameled filigree focal point and placed another oval jump ring at the top, to string onto the sueded cord.
The elongated antiqued bronze drops were removed from a strand of these and attached to the eye pins with jump rings.
The finished piece has a lovely combination of matte, lustre and just a bit of sparkle.
